Remember to follow any special regulations in force in any area, and always switch off your device when its use is prohibited or when it may cause interference or danger.

5 Icon Function Description HIDE Momentarily turns off the video. 7 Turning on the Projector 1 Remove the lens cap.(Illustration #1) 2 Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely connected. The Power indicator LED will flash red. 3 Turn on the projector by pressing "Power" button on the control panel, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue. (Illustration #2) 4 Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player ,etc.). The projector will detect your source automatically.
English 8 Turning off the Projector 1 To turn off the projector, press the "Power" button twice. The message below will display onscreen for 5 seconds. "Please press power button again to complete the shutdown process." 2 Immediately after powering off, the Power indicator LED will flash RED rapidly and the fan(s) will continue to operate for about 120 seconds. This is to ensure that the system cools correctly.
9 Adjusting the Height of Projected Image The projector is equipped with elevator feet for adjusting the height of image. To raise/lower the image: 1 Use Tilt adjusting wheel (Illustration #1) to fine-tune the display angle.
English 10 How to optimize image size and distance Consult the table below to find the optimal image sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 80" and 87". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 130 cm height is required when located at 3m distance.

English 12 How to get a preferred image size by adjusting distance and zoom A 50" Desir e imag d e siz e D Height Form base to top of image 1.7 m 1.9 m C B Desired Distance The table below shows how to achieve a desired image size by adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. • For example: to obtain an image size of 50" set the projector at a distance 1.7 m and 1.9 m from the screen and adjust the zoom level accordingly.

English 14 User Controls Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empowering Key provides three Acer unique functions, they are "Acer eView Management"and "Acer eTimer Management" respectively. Press " " key for more than one second to launch the Onscreen display main menu to modify its function. Acer eView Management Press " " to launch "Acer eView Management" submenu. "Acer eView Management" is for display mode selection. Please refer to Onscreen Display Menus section for more detail.
15 The projector has multilingual OSD that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the remote control. • When the OSD is displayed, use the keys to select any item in the main menu. After selecting the desired main menu item, press submenu for feature setting. • Use the using the to enter keys to select the desired item and adjust the settings by keys.
English 16 Color setting Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • • • • • • • • Brightness Contrast Bright : For brightness optimization. Standard: For brighter environment.
17 Adjusts the color balance of red and green. • Press to increase the amount of green in the image. • Press to increase the amount of red in the image. Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" functions are not supported under computer mode or DVI mode. Image setting Keystone Adjust image distortion caused by tilting projection. (±40 degrees) Aspect Ratio Use this function to choose your desired aspect ratio.
English 18 Rear-Desktop • When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so you can project from behind a translucent screen. Rear-Ceiling • When you select this function, the projector reverses and inverts the image at same time. You can project from behind a translucent screen with ceiling mounted projection. H. 19 English Management setting ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the projector lamp which will lower power consumption, extend the lamp life and reduce noise. Choose "Off" to return normal mode. Auto Shutdown The projector will automatically shutdown when there is no signal input after the allocated time. (in minutes) Source Lock When source lock is turned "off", the projector will search for other signals if the current input signal is lost.

Timer setting Timer Start • Press to start or stop the timer.

23 English Appendices Troubleshooting If you experience a problem with your Acer projector, refer to the following troubleshooting guide. If the problem persists, please contact your local reseller or service center. Go to "Image setting --> Aspect Ratio" and try different settings or press"Aspect Ratio" on the remote control to adjust directly. • If possible, reposition the projector so that it is centered on the screen. • Press the "Keystone / " buttonon the remote control until the sides are vertical.

English 28 Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life. You will be shown a warning message "Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life in full power operation. Replacement Suggested!" When you see this message, change the lamp as soon as possible. Make sure the projector has been cooling down for at least 30 minutes before changing the lamp.
29 If you wish to install the projector using a ceiling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included. Please obtain the appropriate screws for your type of ceiling. 2 Secure the ceiling rod using the appropriate type of four-cylinder screws.
