2.2 Notes before use Rugged Tablet Computer Before using your device, please read through the following instructions ⚫ Use only the power adapter that comes with your device. Using a different power adapter may cause damage. ⚫ The AC power cord is designed for the RTC-710RK only. ⚫ This product is intended to be supplied by a Listed Power Adapter or DC power source, rated 12Vdc, 3A minimum, Tma = 40°C. 2.3 Turning on the Device Rugged Tablet Computer The power button turns your device on and off. Hold the button for one second to power on. To start or wake from sleep mode, hold the power button for 0.5 seconds until the shutdown confirmation is shown. If the system remains unresponsive, press and hold the power button to force power off (may result in data loss). It is strongly recommended that the user back up important data regularly.
2.4 Setting the Function Keys Rugged Tablet Computer This section details how you can set the programable Function Keys, F1 and F2. The default settings are listed in the Product Overview. To begin, launch the AAEON Hot Key App. In the main menu you will find the two programable keys. F1 is Hot Key 1 and F2 is Hot Key 2. Select the key you wish to modify.
Both keys can be set to one of three main functions: App, Web, and KeyCode. Rugged Tablet Computer RTC-710RK App allows you to set the hot key to launch any app that is installed on the device.
Web will allow you to set a URL, which will open in your default browser when the hot key is pressed. Rugged Tablet Computer RTC-710RK KeyCode will allow you to set the hot key to perform a specified action based on Android key codes. 2.5 Connecting to Ethernet Rugged Tablet Computer To connect your RTC-710RK to an Ethernet cable, first access the Network & Internet menu in the system settings. RTC-710RK Turn the Ethernet adapter on. Finally, reboot the device and connect the Ethernet cable.
